Now that we’re a couple weeks into the new year, it’s good to look ahead and think about what the year may bring. We stand by our mission of providing you with innovative financial planning software because we believe everyone needs and deserves a quality financial plan.

Tax Calculations Update

 

Effective January 1, 2018: Updates have been made to include changes in qualified contribution limits, federal and state tax rates, Social Security factors (including COLA), Medicare Part B values and the unified estate and gift taxes. Additional updates were made to align with the the new Tax Cuts & Jobs Act, specifically the income tax bracket, standard deductions, personal exemptions and estate tax exemption changes.

Effective January 19, 2018 after 9:00 PM ET: additional updates will be made in MoneyGuidePro® to reflect changes in long term capital gains taxes and state and local tax deductions.

You do not need to take any action to receive this update. Please note, the majority of plans will change based on these updates. We suggest reviewing your plans before meeting with clients.
